Roll of Honour

It’s never too early to say thank you to those that have helped us in planning, setting up and running this madcap adventure; donating their time, energy and effort, in addition to any donations that they make through JustGiving.

It is inevitable that I will have forgotten someone - maybe even more than one person and I do humbly apologise. It was all happening a little bit fast and furious towards the end and something(s) may have slipped through the net!

thank you

Individuals, clubs and businesses who have gone above and beyond

Annie Smith and the late Paddy Smith - for the use of the famous Paddy Smith patches in our logo

Iggy Sutcliffe for the use of the Grass Skirt image taken at the Colwyn Bay scooter rally in 1985

Simon Duncan for the use of the composite image “Ladybird guide to … a Good Weekend”

Scott Southon for his encyclopaedic knowledge of 80's scooter rallies, correcting our spotty memories

Wendy Wheatley of WW Design - for her mad design skills in putting together our logo at ridiculously short notice and then repeatedly revisiting it when I needed other stuff doing! Sorry Wendy!

Gabe Jones of GRKJ Photography - for his rock star photography

Claire and Dave Fowler of Stickerdrops - for our stickers and legshield banners

Robin Quartermain for immediately jumping in and helping organise a do, for our Skegness overnight stay

Steve Wilson and the A92 Vespa Club for arranging their annual club rideout to coincide with 'The Tour'; also for putting on a do in Fort William and donating the proceeds of that and another event they organised

Emma Cox, Tracey Johnson and Alex Anderson of the Troglodytes SC for arranging a do in Newquay as well as printing up some Cornish versions of our stickers for 'sale' with all proceeds going to our cause!

Alex Batemen and Frank Parker of the Lowriders SC for arranging a do at the Centenary Club for the night of Thursday 22nd August.

The Lowriders SC who are not only a bunch of lovely people, they have really got behind what we are doing; 2 of their members joined us as part of the core team, they held collections at club meetings and held a do for our overnight stay in Weymouth.

Elaine of Pure Hair Design (Heathfield, Sussex) for donating the cost of doing my hair (£135 in the pot)

Nick Simpkins for the donation of an exhaust that was used by the Southern Monkey's Scooter Endurance Race Team and who donated £200 for it!

Stuart Lanning and Andy Greenslade of SWSC for the amazing donation and the wonderful welcome at Weston on the tour.
